This is a RP between Anome and I based on Princess Tutu called Darling Birds Dance and it's really great and we're great

but we're not done planning it so we're gonna work on it here ok yes

okay so our main antagonist is a witch, she doesn’t really have a character yet but we know she’s a yangire witch and she’s pretty damn powerful

she also knows about how Gold Crown Town was once under a spell that caused the story of The Prince and the Raven to repeat over and over until a Knight-turned-author broke the spell and freed the town and all its characters so they could live how they please (and that, kids, is how we’re linking this rp back to the original story)

and she decides she wants to control the town much in the same way

so she sets up a spell

one of the ingredients, however, is the heart of someone innocent (hahahaha my character) maybe she chose my character because she’s in love with him????? we haven’t decided yet

so she goes and steals his heart and casts her spell and now she controls the town

of course to every action there is a reaction, and the new princess tutu type character (annie’s character) is created by the universe to restore the balance of things. in order to break the spell on the town, she has to collect the pieces of the mytho character’s (my character) heart and put it back together so the spell is incomplete and collapses in on itself

basically though the witch is really jelly of happy people (maybe b/c of unrequited love? maybe she felt she wasn’t noticed in her talents? i dunno, we have yet to decide her motives) so whenever she sees a happy marriage, half of the couple goes nuts and kills their significant other. also, successful people (honour students, bestselling authors/poets, etc) have a tendency to die spontaneously or horrifically commit suicide, but this is much less often than the newlyweds killing each other

the people in the town don’t get too suspicious because they don’t know they’re under a spell, but a lot of people become afraid to get married (hahaha take that neko-sensei) because they’re afraid they’ll come down with this syndrome and kill someone since it only seems to happen to newlyweds

the witch would play the part of both princess kraehe and also drosselmeyer

we don’t have a fakir-type character yet but we may have someone who does a lot of the witch’s gruntwork

my character is the mytho-type character

annie plays the princess tutu-type character

when it comes to my character, he is likened to a cardinal because his shyness combats his talent. we haven’t decided whether he is in the chorus or the ballet, but we’re thinking ballet just so it would make more sense for annie’s character to be a dancer like princess tutu. but yeah. he is in the remedial class because of his crippling stage fright, but actually has a lot of talent when he’s in the privacy of a practice room or his own dorm room. he’s not a prince or anything like mytho so i don’t really see the necessity of a fakir-type character to foil him. annie’s character, when not in her tutu form, would help him come out of his shell and get over his stage fright as she, in her tutu form, gradually restores the pieces of his heart. he’s a pretty passive character, and his development relies completely on the success of annie’s character which would give annie some good practice as an active character

i would most likely be the one to play the witch because i really don’t see annie writing horrific murder scenes as willingly as i would.
