I did Death the Kidd from scratch in 2009, but I don't have pictures because it was my first Ohayocon and a lot of stuff happened. xD;
( Like.. I couldn't walk for around a day. My friend Doug had to carry me around on his back half the time. I didn't sleep for 3 days, plus constant sugar rush.. Plus the cheerleading AND christian conventions were going on at the sammme time in the same building, so THAT was interesting, rofl. )
I dyed the stripes into my hair, and my friend's grandmother made the clothes - which were actually spot-on - and I made the rings and skull necktie thing out of clay and painted them.
Though right after that one, I had to cosplay L for the second half, and I forgot gloves, so when I dyed my hair in the hotel, my hands were blotchy for the rest of the week. xD

My group always sticks me with the shorter, black-haired ones most of the time. It was funny when I was there as L and Doug was Light, with his girlfriend as Misa, and whenever I couldn't walk for a bit, he'd have to carry me around; so to everyone else it was Light walking around with a crippled L on his back. It got me shoulder'd in the jaw because some stranger tried to glomp me when I was in the vendors andIwastooshort... xD;
