Meizicht, most people don't know about Gary Johnson or Jill Stein because they're part of the Libertarian and Tea Party parties, respectively, and Democrats and Republicans are the main highlight of almost every single election. I also believe that Gary Johnson's liberal views on everything are way too open-minded for such a still conservative and traditional America. A lot of people, for instance, still want church and state to coexist, and the Libertarian movement doesn't typically support that. There's a lot of reasons why people like Gary and Jill will never be in the spotlight because of Democrats and Republicans holding the spotlight (thanks to all the attention they're given through the help of lobbyists and private funders and what have you).

I'm not saying that I don't disapprove of Gary Johnson or think his participation in this campaign is utterly pointless, but... I think if people even do know who Gary Johnson is and know of his views and everything, some people will be thinking, "Why vote for him if he's never going to win this election, anyway?" So, they vote for one of the top two competitors; in this case, Obama or Romney.

Personally, I may either vote for Gary Johnson or Barack Obama.
