I've heard that before too. It gets so confusing! So far though, among classmates and instructors, the pro-PC's outweigh the pro-Macs.
I plan on getting better software but right now I can't afford it (looking mostly at Adobe)so I'm going to experiment with what I can get in the meantime. I go with my brother, who has both computers and uses whichever one is better for what he needs to do and for my purposes (all my purposes) he recommends a PC.
