Maki sauntered out from her hiding place when Vincent was getting close. "Questions, ya? What sort of questions are we talking about?" she asked as she leaned against a dented old oil drum. While she didn't completely let her guard down, she knew the Vamp Ryuujin wouldn't go hostile on her unless she really pissed him off. She couldn't recall seeing Puck's companion before, though. That set her a little on edge.

Edge watched the Toxic Ryuujin from atop a barrel next to a bait shop. "I wonder what the kiddo is doing all the way out here," she pondered. To ease her recent streak of boredom, she whistled to get his attention. "Hey. What's got your undies in a twist, Kyd?" she asked curiously. She knew she was taking a risk by alerting the unpredictable Toxic to her presence, but it was better than just sitting there all day hoping for something else to happen.
