"I know that words can be double edged swords why you think I am so careful with information Chloe." he said with a harsh tone, it was clear by his expression that he was serious on the matter. It was one of the very few things that he was serious about, but he shook his head at the second part "Ever think there is a reason some people remain afraid of the dark?" he stated coldly as he started descending towards Chloe's home, he wasn't going to get into it as it wasn't his information to give.

"Well lets see... I apologised for being away for so long... yes I call that being an adult" he said halting helping her down when they got to the door of the house "You can narrow your eyes at me all you want, but this is just who I am." he moved to turn away from her about to move off but stopped hearing her words "I guard my family or what's left of it by keeping my personal life separate from this life I share with you guys, Perhaps you should learn to do the same." he said bluntly it wasn't like him to act in such a manner so there was something obviously bugging him.

"You need to remember not only do I have to watch my own back and protect my family, but I need to protect the family I hold as a faction and their loved ones... as much as I do see life as a game I am always careful in what I do, can you really say the same thing living with a cop?" he started to move off "because he's a vampire and wants everyone's blood" it really was as simple as that but said nothing more as his bored picked up speed rapidly he really didn't to hear another one of her 'life isn't a game' or 'be more serious' lectures, she knew nothing of him and it was true that was on him but in his mind it was better off that way for everyone involved.
