Crouching partially from the pain, he threw his left arm in an arc, in effect tossing the chain over Lance's neck and half-strangling him in an attempt to snap him out of his madness, then sent the spear flying a mere hair's breadth above Lucien's face. As Lance fell forward on him, Cu couldn't quite tell if he had managed to snag the glasses off the man's nose.
