I'm terrible at giving suggestions myself. every time i suggest someone or even try to console someone it turns out all wrong. It's come to the point where I just keep to myself.

What I would do in your situation is wait a while then send her an apology and once again that you didn't mean to offend her and that you're not good at stuff like this.

But its always best to let things cool down before trying anything else.. at least thats what I do.
