I agree with Serra Britt about the sociopath bit - having no emotions being disconnected wouldn't bother you.

if the doctors call you autistic they may be referring to asperger's syndrome which is in the autism spectrum. your problem sounds like it could be asperger's but i'm not a licensed psychologist or even a amatur one. so don't take my word.

i say to seek professional advice. this could be nothing or it could be something. talk to a someone with a degree in this sort of stuff to find out. and good luck.
