omg, I saw your post on fb and had to come here cause rambling on fb ends badly....
I'm soooo sorry he is so hurt, but I'm soooooo glad he is ONLY hurt! Cry as much as you need too, I"m sure at least some of those tears are 'thank god he's alive' ones. Let me know if I can do anything,e ven if it's just be a person to cry on(amanda does it a lot, I'm good at this sort of thing).
