He listened to the other as he freed him and introduced himself. As well as the quick threat on his life. He almost wanted to cringe at the thought, there were a few toxins that he could think of that would pull off such a feat. None of them he really wished to encounter for himself. Who knew why it seemed the man before him trusted his word, but he was glad he did. For a while there he thought for sure he was to be marked off as a crazy and he would be killed. Odds where he was still to be killed, maybe this was still some game he was playing.

"Evan Hansen, high school student and the guy who always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time." The last part was more of his humor on the matter. Though it wasn't really funny in truth. Here he was talking to the rebel leader that was reported dead many many years ago... he needed to figure out a way to get home, staying here was not a good idea.

"er.. well if you have my bag somewhere I can prove what i have been saying is true." It wasn't the book saying the rebels had won the war but it was still in this same time period, and would show there was no mention of magic anywhere among it's pages. Though at the same time odds where that the book might be blank... that'd be rather cute for him to try to convince someone he wasn't lying and show them a blank book.
