When Mizuki didn't budge from his stance, and Gabriel had gotten a fair amount of complaining out of his system, he went right to work. It had been some time since he'd done any sort of household chores, but memory held strong, and he had little trouble getting the floors washed. The same went for whatever other little things he could help with.
With all of the work through the day, the two didn't really have the chance to chat, beyond Gabriel's scattered attempts, which were mostly shouted from another room entirely.
With twilight rapidly drawing the day to a close, the unlucky traveler had yet to attend to those personal matters he'd mentioned at the very start of the day. Furthermore, his own mare had yet to reappear, as Mizuki had suggested she would. Gabe was starting to wonder if he'd find her at all.
Hoping that he might yet find time to get his own work done, he'd gone to retrieve the single wooden box from his repaired cart, along with a couple other small supplies, all balanced on top of it and held under his arm. He went looking for Mizuki, reaching the garden just as the man had finished replacing his hood. For a moment, Gabriel wondered if he wanted to disturb him and risk losing what little time there was before dark. He cleared his throat, deciding it better to ask than be seen as the useless, constantly complaining sort of guest. "Hello again, my friend. It seems that I may have run out of things to do... Or rather, do for you, and considering how much of your day has been spent on assisting me so far, it only seemed right to spend much of mine assisting you. Eye for an eye, or some nonsense like that. But, anyway. Uh..." He shifted his weight to one side. "Was there anything else...?"
