Even before the man's approach, Gabe had stopped to take in the countless candles that he was sure weren't there before. Tired but bright eyes settled onto Mizuki at the first simple question. He absently smoothed out the front of his robe, bringing at least one vague sense of neatness to his ruined appearance, and smiled. "Gabriel Carnet, of Olney. It's a pleasure to meet you properly, especially after all you've done."
He nodded, his gaze shifting a fraction past the man and towards the doors. "And, no, I'm afraid I probably won't be leaving. You see, it seems as though the evening's little... adventure has left my cart, well, more or less immobile. My fault, really, I should have made sure I had a spare wheel in the last town, but I didn't. Besides that, I'm fairly sure my pretty little horse has run off on me by now." He looked back to Mizuki's face, his smile only growing the more he spoke. "Not that that's so much of a worry. Does that every morning, pesky thing. But with the fright she got, and how nice the land looks around here, it'll take some time to find her again, I imagine. No, I have some things I was going to get. Very important personal matter. I had every intention of returning and fully enjoying your absent company, I assure you."
