Yeah, that makes me more impressed with what you've done, BUT if you're going to take this seriously, you really want to find a type of base you can doodle out quickly to get that pose and those proportions more on mark. That will do WONDERS for you as you keep practicing right there. You might do well breaking the body down into curves in your style. Personally, I use modified stick figures.

AND ON ANOTHER NOTE, I am a very big fan of sketchy lines and use them myself. You do not have to scrap them entirely. That being said, learning how to do clean lines, too, will save you a lot of time as you get better and want to produce cleaner works.

Try to avoid only doing simple standing poses and such as you practice anatomy. You really want to do as many different things as you can, so you can get a good feel for how the body really WORKS. The better you know our anatomy and movement, the easier it will be to get things right the first time.
