It includes lots of flannel, urban outfitters and a strange attitude. I have seen pictures of Asami and if she wears make up like your sister it is more late glam emo style. Especially if her mascara is thick. But I am guessing your jaded point of view of people wearing make up will be the same no matter the nuances.
