And so I walked in at 8:25 registers down, my boss tells me the entire system is down, the phones are down, He can't log in to bring up the screens the rf guns arent working etc etc. I loiter in the back because there is no sense in me clocking in and wasting store hours when I cant do crap. 20 mins later the framing manager comes up to open the frame stuff and she goes yeah it was doing this last night. So my manger has another person put up signs. at 9 people still come knocking while we are still trying to fix things. At some point the store manager comes over, another one that I guess is over the one that actually works in store. They spend an hour doing what tech support says which is what they tried hours ago. Eventually some of them boot up, others do not. And the framing manger comes up front to tell the store manger that the computer lost 2 days worth of special orders. An hour later the system makes it so that we can do transactions but the return system was wonky and the tech guy that was suppose to come at 9 was still no where to be seen. Around 11 the phones were still down but the manger decided to open. We could not run debit cards, the returns even if they had a receipt if it needed to go back on a card, we had to give them cash, and well manually put in the return. Orders over 100 dollars we had to call a 1800 number for the type of credit card to get credit approval, however the phone lines were down in the store. It was a mess.

Edit: we could not do a return and put it back on the credit card. We had to issue store credit or cash.
