Leila fled aside, when the being launched an attack. It whipped around quickly enough, and sprung for another one, but this attack was as unsuccessful as previous one. Although there was a solidness of sorts about Leila's new form, whenever the creature tried to hold her, her claws simply slid trough her, and the girl also managed to avoid most of the attacks. It was a chase more than a fight now, with shadows attempting to slow the monster down. One shadow was even as bold as try to claw its eyes out.

Leila, aided by shadows, managed to start the first cycle of her magics, the blood slowly withdrawing from creatures limbs inside her body and gushing out of her cuts, therefor weakening her in various ways. It became hard to move for the being and strength left her quickly. Shadows left more and more cuts, trough which the life power left the monster. And Leila was still always out of her reach and untouchable.
