With Muse most of what I get out of the songs is in the shape of feelings rather than concrete stories or specific situations. The lyrics and the music are somewhere between fiercely political and social commentary mixed with love songs, and the sort of music where the lyrics aren't really important.

I don't really paint much... I have an expandable easel which can be carried like a briefcase and contains paints and palette, but I don't like having the paints out, and the solvent is malodorous and headache-inducing, it's all so messy, and I just don't know what I want to paint. I have oils though, not acrylics. That's what my class was in. But generally I prefer more to create things... work with my hands in predictable patterns to form usable or at least slightly practical things. As much as I would love to create art it's a little bit overwhelming. Perhaps instead of using my canvas, I should just use acrylics and cardboard...
