Amelia Marie Diederich
Amelia enjoyed Donnie's firm grip. This was it. her life changing event. She went through the portal.
It was a weird feeling she couldn't place. Everything seem to move and not move all at the time. She felt ground and no ground. She could move and not move.
It happened to quickly for her to get use to and once she felt real ground, she felt much better. Donnie let go of her hand. They where both kneeling over facing the earth about ready to get sick. Amelia slowly stood, being careful not to over do it. One small move and she was going to hurl. She looked around at her surrounds and found herself to be on earth. There were trees, rocks, and small animals. Familiar animals like squirrels and robins. "Hey Donnie are you ok?" She turned to her friend and helped him up. "I think we are still on earth. Maybe in a forest?" She looked forward and found a trail lending to a brighter place. "Day time? I think we should mark this spot." Amelia took out a knife and carved an X into one of the sides of the tree, with an A and a D. She felt like she had to mark the fact she was here with Donnie. "To you think this is where the professor ended up?" She looked at Donnie wondering if he was thinking the same thing. "Maybe we should look around for any marks of her..." Her voice trailed off as she could hear a horse drawn carriage driving their way.
The horse was big and beautiful. It had a white diamond on it's head, that seemed to stand out amongst it's black fur. The horse stopped right in front of Donnie and Amelia. "Wooh, What are you, blokes, doing in the middle of the road?" Amelia looked confused at the horse as it lips did not move but words seemed to be coming from him. "uhh... We are just lost. Which way do we go?" The horse nodded it's head and neighed, stomping the ground with it's hoofs. "It is just a bit farther west. If you like to come, it is fine with me if you come along for the ride." Amelia smiled at the horse and walked around to get into the carriage. She then noticed the small old man sitting and holding the horse's reins. "It's ok for me to go in right?" The man spoke a yes and she continued to get in. "thanks"
Once inside the buggie she turned to Donnie. "You know that horse sounded a lot like the driver." It then hit her that it was the driver speaking the whole time. Her cheeks started to redden as she started to feel more stupid. She had just kept her mind a bit to open for this world. She turned away and stared at her hands the rest of the ride into town.
They arived shortly and the little old man opened the door for them. "What town are you two from? Your clothes look mighty funny for where you are." Amelia looked to Donnie, not really knowing what to say to the old man. She was not really good at making things up.
