If Tiva's idea of 10 hour shifts don't work out for you, there should be rest stops along the way that you could park and sleep in the truck, if you really want to save money, however, depending on the truck/ space and the seats for you to consider that I've been on trips before where it's been back and forth like Tiva's and that works at times and helps us get some distance, only a couple times slept in car, and other times hotel/motel, you could do a combination of it so you can save some money at least

it was nice to get a little more time in the house, where something happened like that to my uncles

family wasn't the problem
great grandmother didn't make a will so people wouldn't be mad with her on who got what... and a lawyer in charge of the issue after she died sort of took over trashed the house took their stuff and put most of it in a trash can while my uncle was at work the other one was home but he wasn't always mentally there anymore... but anyway they wanted to sell the stuff and the family wanted to get the money and split it up and instead since the lawyer wanted the money they came in and trashed a lot of stuff, grandfather clocks, grand piano, small organ lots of stuff... the one who was at work had to rush and find an apartment which he filled full of stuff before something like that could happen again
was a huge house... but anyway, no longer there...

hmm never had rats, however, wondering how do you keep them, do they all live in the same cage or different ones... if you could have them in different ones for the drive it would help reduce the worry of them killing each other out of stress on them
only problem with that is if you only have one cage and cages can sometimes be costly...
