I'm just popping in to give you this ^_^



I'm still fighting this new cold/flu thingie that Eric brought home Wednesday. Poor thing- he had full-blown strep. I don't have tonsils *does happeh dance*, so I know I won't get that *does super hero pose* Buuut... I am still confined to bed *blech*

Eric & the 'rents went to Chino Valley to have dinner with Eric's Nana and Aunt Abbe yesterday, so he was able to pick up a new battery for the remote to my portable DVD player (the buttons on the player itself don't advance chapters for some reason). Soooo, I can get back to watching Season One of FullMetal Alchemist. I can definitely see it's appeal to younger teens; but it has enough action to keep us old folks entertained ^_~

Imma take a nap then try out the new battery and hope it works. With all the crap that has happened in just this last week, I'm scared that it won't and I'm afraid that if I get my hopes up that it will work, I'll just be let down :/
(In just the last eight days, this is what has happened: I got intestinal flu so I had to cancel my trip to stay with Mom; we got notice from the landlord that he's not renewing our lease & wants us out by the end of June; Eric came down with a nasty case of strep throat; the Dunkin Donuts where Eric works, erm ... worked... closed; I got the upper respiratory flu part of Eric's illness; my laptop died and has to be shipped back to the manufacturer for repair; I found out that the skittering sound in my ceiling was at least one mouse- he somehow got on the underside of the ceiling & couldn't get back home (I think my cats eventually got the poor thing after I tried for hours to catch it & set it free outside. I love mousies & don't like to see them get hurt). I think that's it for now.

On the plus side, I get all the Chicken & Stars soup I want ^_^ *YaY!* {silver lining ^_~}

I've been house-hunting online from bed. Not a whole lot of rental houses in a 50 mile radius from here D: BUT- I know that God will provide! :3 He always has, and always will!
