Part of it depends on how old you are too. I'm 24, so I'm technically an independent, even though I live at home with my parents. I'm glad I don't need to look into food stamps. But, I'm not on my mom's insurance anymore, tried for medicaid again, but I make too much for that. And I work in fast food. :/
