*pfft* You know that song... "I'm too Sexy for my hair", so there :p LOL
~Kat twirls the prettiful black and red hair~ *hmm hmm*
(But seriously, is that store hair, or an item?? I MUST KNOW!!! *shakes Sai... gently*)

I spied an Espy Fox running around here... >_>

Calypso- techs really aren't supposed to say anything... or at least that's what the zillion techs I've dealt with ALWAYS say... right before the, "But I think {blah, blah, blah}… but of course you'll have to wait for the doctor to tell you that." Like it's some big secret or something *rolls eyes*
The only time I was ever really concerned during a procedure was when the tech almost swallowed his tongue and practically yelled, "I've got to get the doctor to see this right away" as he ran out of the room... me still with a VERY full bladder and freezing cold gel on my abdomen (back in the days before they got those nifty gel warming machines). That was a bit disturbing. And, it was in a Navy hospital. You know, where doctors who can't cut in the Private Sector go? Yeah...
It just turned out to be a large, but benign, ovarian cyst. Yay. I can remember if it's PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) or POCS (Poly Ovarian Cystic Syndrome)... but it's just a bitch, not life threatening. Well, not to me. To those around me, a little (I threw glass plates at a boy in the college cafeteria because... I don't even remember LOL I was just a crazier bitch than usual. XD

Faux-Faux is a smexy beesh with or without hair ^_^

So, I've been messing with my computer tonight, and I discovered that in MSPaint under the font Webdings I can make (or get from it) the Awareness Ribbon, which I can then change the color.
I did a search of Awareness Ribbon colors, and I'm quite disappointed at how uncreative these Awareness folks are.
Purple is not only the color for Lupus, Fibromyalgia, AND Sjögren's Syndrome - but also 19 other non-related things ranging from Animal Abuse to Worker's Memorial Day. WTF is that, even??
Anyways, how do you guys feel about YOUR Awareness Ribbon? Do you think it properly represents YOU and actually raises ANY awareness?
I've been wanting to contact Fibromyalgia Aware magazine to see about changing our ribbon- make it more symbolic of Fibromyalgia, more unique… kinda like how Autism has the puzzle pieces.
I think that because FM is an invisible disability with myriad symptoms of which a person may have two of three, or twenty- I think a light gray ribbon with multi-colored polka dots would best represent those of us with FM. We're all different, even though we have the same illness.

So, do YOU like your ribbon?
If not, what change to your ribbon would you suggest?
Do you think the organizers of your Awareness group would be open to changing your ribbon?

I hope you guys made it through my Wall o' Text and I hope to get some feedback.
I think awareness is extremely important for medical treatment advancement. Look at what the pink ribbon has done for Breast Cancer. And, NO OTHER ANYTHING uses the pink ribbon.

Food for thought, and hopefully discussions. :3
