Makoto wandered around the main street, looking for a place to lay low. She spotted a coffee shop a few blocks away.

Well, "Kyd" or whatever his name was isn't gonna be going to a coffee shop anytime soon. I might as well hang around here for now. Makoto grinned, and walked into the coffee shop.

Kouhii wo hitotsu onegaishimasu (One coffee please). The cashier handed her a cup of coffee. Makoto handed the cashier a few hundred yen, and took her coffee to a table.
