Warning: This is a rant. You can skip. xD

I joined Gaia in October 2oo3 so I've been there forever. But I was originally there for RPing and art, and the RPing has gone downhill and the art has massively inflated in price. I stick around because of friends and occasional art freebies, but I'm in no way a loyal fan.
Last November, I was perma-banned for accepting a trade from someone that apparently contained an "illegally" gained item. It was just a donation to me, so I had no reason not to accept, and I ended up being severely punished for it. Their policy apparently involves a no warnings, no strikes scenario, where it doesn't matter how long you've been on the site (8.5 years) or that you've had no prior warnings during that time. If they even think you've done something, you're banned forever.
So I opened up a help request ticket and I talked to a mod for two whole months, during which she just copy/pasted the same "tough luck" message to every reply I gave, and then finally she just closed the ticket entirely. Raging, I opened a new ticket and wrote this huge rant/discussion of unfairness/other things, had a new mod assigned to help me, and got my account back in 8 days. So, you know... one mod wastes 2 months. One just 8 days.
Gaia staff don't care about their users at all. Not in the slightest. You have to get lucky for them to even look at you. They just want to make money. My friend lost a Kepler (worth over 5million) when it disappeared after she gifted it from her mule to her main. She's had a ticket open for over two months now, and they haven't responded to her even once. She has screenshots with proof and everything. It's indisputable that she should have it returned.
Well, I didn't really donate in the first place (except for a couple times when cash first came into existence), but I can tell you now, they will NEVER be getting anything else from me. It's a rip off. I even stopped questing, because I'm AFRAID of getting donations now, in case that happens again. I can't believe an item heavy site like that would actually do something to make a user scared of accepting donations. So for my current quest, I sold an expensive item I had and used the funds to complete it myself, afraid to rely on others.
/insert a million of the angriest faces ever

And... the end. I apologize for ranting. I will forever be angry at Gaia, even if I did get my account back.

I stick around to chat with friends, but it's really losing my interest, a lot. Especially after that fiasco.
