Kale gave a bit of a start. "U-Uh..." he muttered, very surprised and unsure of what to do. After a moment he seemed to collect himself and asked gently, "What's wrong?" Awkwardly he wrapped his arms around her but seemed to increase in confidence as he hugged her tightly back.

Rosen snorted, looking the pair over without trying to disguise the disgust in his eyes.
