"Great," Lina said as she quickly pulled him to the back curtain. By then it seemed almost angry, the tails of it flying up and a whooshing noise could be heard from it. Oh, this was going to be a harsh trip. "Hold on tight," she said before quickly running in and dragging him along.
Just like always, it seemed like they were floating at first in black nothingness. The wind was gone and there was nothing supporting them. Then, suddenly, they began to drop. Blinks of light passed them as they quickly descended, Lina's hair flying upwards and her hat flying off. "Damn it," she mumbled under her breath, "I really like that one."
Still, she clung to his hand with an iron grip, making sure he'd stay with her if it killed her. Her first couple times she had lost a person or two, but that was a long long time ago. Now she knew what she was doing and nothing could stop her. Except for the ground.
What was once black now turned to pure white for one brief moment before they were laying on their backs in a grove. Around them were tall trees filled with strange, pungent fruits, strange animal noises and a green sun high in the sky. She knew this place. "Powers damn it!"
