"what happens happens.. can't prevent it." He seemed about as worried about death due to age as if it were rain. Though he saw himself dying long before he got near a age of dying from old age..

He didn't seem too worried about it at all, it was a number, if anything he could fall over tomorrow if this great mother had her use of him and he was no longer needed. Or so it seemed like that could happen anyway. Though not before he found out why the prince was out here for 40 years... that bothered him, what could have happened to make him be out here.
