Yeah, no idea who Fleep is/was. I stopped going there not long after the first big zOMG revamp.

Fleep is/was one of the original coders for Gaia and was he only high-level staff member who actually talked to users in threads on a regular basis. He was a really nice guy, and so many users shit on him whenever something went wrong on Gaia, as if he was responsible for everything. I guess he just got sick of it- as many other mature users got sick of Gaia- and stopped posting. I don't know if he actually quit, but he stopped putting himself out there for the masses to beat up on him.

The only good thing to come out of Gaia is that it paved the way for the smaller, more intimate and mature sites like Tris, IMHO.
