Dune worries me. It reads more like (to me) like...something by Weeks or Salvatore...I might forget it's in the future.

Havne't read that one yet. It's still on my shelf. Watched the Mini Series though. The 6 hour one (as in, not the 198-something movie with Sting). It has something of a Star Wars-esque feel in terms of technology and such. The navigators guild folks are certainly odd. They seem to like to adorn their speech with interpretive dance.
