John listened to the gerneral clamor of the town square. He frowned, it sounded like once again no one would be able to solve his riddle and recieve a hat or cloak. It was disapointed, but not altogether unexpected as very few could pay the price he demanded. He requested not gold or coin but an answer to a riddle he spoke. A little tibit of what the world outside appeared to be was also a good bargaining chip. John, deciding he had wasted enough time, carefully extended his walking stick forward to feel if anything would hinder his path.

Christopher hobbled up to an inn. He had hardly traveled far, but what better way to get a free night's lodging then pretend to be weary? It was not as though he had nothing to pay them with, it was simply that they demanded curreny which he did not have in his possesion. His gift to tonight's innkeeper would be good fortune or maybe a protection amulet.

Annabel scanned the crowd, dispasivly. She had already sold today's extra meat and now she was looking for someone easy to rob. Normally she would not resort to such efforts as they were beneather her, but lately game was scarce and bread and herbs were costly. Spying what appeared to be a wealthy man struggling she helped him...and lifted his purse. Annabel tested the weight of the purse and grinned, she would be able to afford a little treat tonight.

Audria had a soft grin on her face as she rocked a child to sleep. "Sleep, little one, slip into oblivion, the witch can't get you while you sleep~" She trilled quite off tune. THe baby did not care as it dropped off to sleep and Audria gently placed it in its crib. "Who's next?" She asked the orphange keeper. She was working here with people who understood her, the children did not judge and treated her as one of their own.
