Inspiration and Where to Find it?

Hi there!

So, in general, I like writing. It's a nice calming activity and helps me think. It's something I thoroughly enjoy doing! Problem is, I have literally zero inspiration to just sit down and start writing until the sun comes up, no matter how much I'd like to! :(

So, I was just wondering how other writers get their inspiration?
Where they get it from?
How they handle it?

I'm genuinely curious! Please share! :)

There are a couple other threads that deal with this topic here. You mind find some ideas looking through the replies there. The INSPIRATION thread and the Plot Bunnies and Writer's Block thread both deal with blocks and lack of inspiration.

I feel your pain.
I often find it hard to become inspired with my writing.
It's easier for me to become inspired to draw, even though I love writing too.

Sometimes listening to music helps me.
Or I start writing about my day and then I think of something.
But, like I said, I'm often not very inspired. ; u ;

I know exactly what you mean- some day's it's just hard to find something to write.
I find personally I write best when annoyed. I'm not saying go out and borrow your best friends baby to get yourself annoyed enough to write a poem about a smelly baby who cries.
But you can use anything that you enjoy really.
Music helps a lot, Talking to your best friend, Reading other stories, going out for a walk.
It can all help. If you don't think to hard about writing and having it be perfect, it tends to come out easier.

Sometimes I can get inspiration from a dream. I've dreamt about zombie apocalypses... vivid dreams. It helped me with ideas for my book.
Music really helps me, too.
