Natsuki Takaya has decided to allow a new anime adaption of Fruits Basket! The magazine that announced this claims that the anime will be of the WHOLE STORY!

From the pic here, I think I see Kyo and Yuki. They look like they're teachers! =o The girl looks similar to Tohru but not exactly like her.. she doesn't seem to have that space cadet look to her

The manga will be posted on HanaLaLa online starting September 4th!

The original ended perfectly so I'm curious on how a Sequel will fit in.

Maybe this will help the Anime get a total Re-Boot! Something the Anime seriously needs. I mean Akito was *Censored* and we never got to meet all the zodiac and we didn't get to see how truly F**Ked up the Soma Family really was.. o3o i mean.. wow, that manga was AWESOME!

Now that 6 chapters have been released by fan groups... Some of this post will be in spoilers.

I read somewhere that the characters were NOT the children of the original cast.

I'm sorry but who ever said that just HAS to be wrong. There are WAY too much in the first 6 chapters (mainly ch 5 and 6) which points out that these are TOO their kids.

please read the chapters before reading what is in the spoiler. I don't wish to be accused of spoiling things. Manga Fox states that the manga HAS been licensed so be on the look out for the manga as it gets released. I know I will <3

I watched the anime, but I am not sure if I read the manga. I know I read one manga and I cant remember if it was fruits basket or not. I haven't watched it in YEARS since it's not on Netflix anymore.

This is quite intriguing. I never even heard about this!

Yea its based like 15-20ish years after the main series. its short. kinda like an anniversary gift to its fans =)

I need to rewatch fruits basket. Its been like 6 years maybe? It was my favorite

it 'was' my favorite until i read the manga. they screwed up sooooo bad in many places in the anime and never finished the storyline.

An update on Fruits Basket! It's getting a new anime adaption, a complete reboot! =)

Nice! I've never watched the anime, but I might do so if I can find the episodes!

The new anime will air on Funimations streaming site next year as its released. No official date yet except 2019 =) They also have the old anime.

I read a few of these and gave up on them. they just bored me lol xd. everybody said this series was great. code de gease was better.

Yea, if you aren't into Slice of Life stuff that has to do with character growth and falling in love... (with some supernatural mixed in) Fruits Basket isn't for you.

Fruits Basket is a great series, but only if you're into that type of genre.

I personally couldn't get into Code Geass. When it comes to mecha anime, I'll take Evangelion, Escaflowne, Big O, and Full Metal Panic.

Both of the Teachers were in the original manga/anime/reboot but as kids.

v Lots of spoilers in side for Fruits Basket as the topic is the sequel FBA o3o if you haven't read the manga all the way through, dun reads unless you're alright with spoilies.
