"World Traveler" requirements changed
 

In the interests of avoiding noise in the support sections, the World Traveler achievement no longer requires a post in A Helping Hand. It never required posts in Error Report. The achievement's description has been updated to indicate these exceptions.

New users should be careful to observe the rules of these sections.

People pay attention to achievements?

Of course they do. New users sign up, see the achievements, and notice, "Oh, I have to post in every section!"
If they go out and spam irrelevant things in order to get the achievement, that's bad. We took Helping Hand off the list in order to stop people from posting there needlessly, but it doesn't excuse spamming in other sections. It's just a lot easier to be relevant there.

i pay attention to the achievements event tough im not a new member anymore illusion.
for example, when crane game came out i used the achievements to know my progress.

I still haven't finished my world traveler one...

Now finished... I had to post in 2 art forums that I never really see the need to normally.

I'm never going to get that achievement because I don't roleplay, and you need two posts in the roleplaying forums ^^;;

Technically you can post in the OOC sub-thread......

I thought that about myself too, but one time I actually joined up on a Pokemon roleplay. It died on the second page and I was sad about it. I guess I've also made a few posts in the 10k Cat Paws roleplay that would have snagged me the achievement if I hadn't gotten it already. Don't discount hard achievements; you never know where you might branch out to!

I think Illusion started the one I tried to join. I'd be up for trying another Pokemon RP someday.
