Well, since there is no thread, I figured I'd make one to see who here plays this game and what they think about things! As a note, no spoilers for the first week something comes out for the story and side quests (because they contain lore of the game!) posted outside of the spoiler tag. After a week I really don't care, but as a note I'll not jump down your throat about it, I'll just ask you edit what was a spoiler into a spoiler.


So I'll go first! The mandachord is awesome! Though the last part of that quest is a bit of a pain. =.=; And I'm no composer so I'm having a hard time making a good song. T-T

I've heard of this, and that it's grindy as heck, but that the grinding is actually decently fun so it's not too bad. Haven't played though.

Its very grindy, and some missions you'll hate doing (I particularly don't like ones I feel better doing with a team ^^; ), but you can also deploy drones called extractors to get materials for you while you're not on. And there's an app you can get to keep track of them and things you're building.

Is it the kind of thing you can do on your own or with groups or is there a lot of pvp involved}?

You never have to do pvp if you don't want to, though there are somethings that can only be obtained in pvp (like the snowball fight event, I had fun with that), and I can do low level missions like those well enough, but most of the time its just easier going as a group. These missions are Mobile Defense, Defense, Interception and Survival. Certain frames are actually very good for doing Survival solo, but in some of the limited events they do its easier going as a team with certain frames being used.

Is the team stuff vs. other player teams or game scenarios?

Game scenarios, but Conclave (pvp) can be done solo or in a team.

Just got back into it after a few months' hiatus.

I don't play, but I've been watching Gameolio Dan solo it in an Excalibur.

Kavat is the species (cat), just like the bat-dog species is "kubrow". Adarza is the breed/subspecies.

Her name is Ardent. Couldn't think of a good name, but she's my first one (also apparently the biggest doggo possible, which would have been really rare and sought after about a year ago), so I named her for loyalty.

You can get the K-drive, which is a hover board if you at least do the mission for starting everything in Fortuna.

Ohh. Dan hasn't started getting critters yet. But he's got the ride on thing, and he can REALLY do some great wipe outs.

Awww. Nice. Yeah, I've only seen video of one that was bigger, and the guy who had him was told it was a glitch. Big long legged thing. Critter could still open lockers and all that business.

AAHH.

Ooh, yeah, Ardent's a Chesa. She can disarm enemies and pick up loot, but won't actively open lockers.

I know, right? XD Pobbers and verminks are so cute, and there's a creature that's kind of like a kubrow, but I haven't gotten that far yet in standing to start catching those. ^^;

Well she looks ridiculously huggable for a big organic battle machine. And the way they make the pets in that game actually petable really makes them appealing, huh?

I hope the guy I watch playing will do some of that. I want to see! XD He usually doesn't even bother with housing on his games, but he's busy building his dojo, and started by planting a pretty tree in it.

But...the Dojo is housing, the only other thing is just decorating the inside of the ship. You could build a literal mansion for your dojo.

**nod nod** That's what I mean. He usually doesn't bother, but he likes the 'Warframe' so much that he's having fun even with the housing in it. Right now he's looking to build some sort of lab in his dojo. The other day a friend showed him theirs, and it was a mini world.

Yeah, there are four labs that can be made, three based on the enemy factions, and one based on the tenno. So each of those rooms will also be themed after those factions, and you can add decorations based on those factions too to make it even more unique.

I was watching another player than the usual one I watch last night as he played alongside a long legged long eared kavat, and then tried to make one of the new pets from the new area stop glitching. The cat was weird and beautiful. He painted it pale blue and stop sign red.

I still drift an eye towards this game on occasion. I really didn't need to know it had pets.

I want a big a' batmutt.

Three kinds of pets now, not counting the little drones. And the dog and cat critters interact when petted and skritched.

I love the fact you can make a moa with a top hat. XD

Oh, I missed seeing that part in my research. XD Do you know if the character can interact with moas too?

Speaking of big-ass batmutts, my friend hatched a kubrow egg and *also* got the tallest kubrow possible (but athletic build, so not an omega kubrow).

Yeah, I think it's a Christmas skin. As someone who is a sucker for Christmas edition pets, I of course squealed as soon as I realized why the kubrow was striped. XD

Oh, then you'd love the holiday color packs. XD

Probably! I wish we had more cute and corny ones for here.

The ones I know of are Halloween, Easter, and I think there might have been a Christmas one, but if there is I don't have it. ^^;

I think I remember seeing, way back when 'Warframe' started, a candy cane shaped weapon skin.
