sorry to hear that Glitch.

and i get that, Kaderin. hubby will be working from home until further notice.

Kaderin Triste 03-19-2020 09:42 PM

Oh man, I wish working from home was an option for me, that would be great

Glitch 03-20-2020 12:10 PM

Brady also has to go to the office although if the mandatory everybody attend meeting is to lay everyone off today I guess he won’t have to go anymore? Lol.

Sorry kaderin I hope for speedy recoveries!

Kaderin Triste 03-20-2020 12:38 PM

Recoveries? I'm....not actually sick yet?

And was informed last night that Joann is technically not actually a "non-essential" business (that is just stuff like bars, casinos, etc) because we provide fabric for clothes and face masks, so that job, at least is guaranteed for a while.
And the museum is probably gonna stay open to employees, though most people can and may work at home if things get too bad.
Unfortunately, cleaning my own apartment doesn't count as working from home, so I'll need to keep going to work at the museum.

Glitch 03-20-2020 12:45 PM

I don’t mean you I mean the world in general v.v

Kaderin Triste 03-20-2020 01:06 PM

Oh. *facepalm* Yeah that makes more sense.

XoGizmooX 03-20-2020 01:26 PM

I'm around been on a tp hunt this is insane:( Out of work may lose phone hoping I get the $1000 that Trump said all Adult Americans get ....kids get $500 I have no kids but I desperately need the $1000 if I qualify I can't find any details on who qualifies and who doesn't:(

Kaderin Triste 03-20-2020 02:20 PM

Good luck on the hunt!
Ohh, $1k would come in handy. But I don't trust the oompa loompa.

Glitch 03-20-2020 03:32 PM

Well he got laid off v.v

trystan830 03-20-2020 04:06 PM

oh no, sorry to hear that Glitch.

since the governor said that all non-life-sustaining businesses need to close, everyone in my area (Philly and surrounding counties) are confused as to what that means. turns out there's now an email you can send either a question to find out if you need to close.... or to get an exemption. I'm not going to tell my boss about that until she questions it. XD

Merskelly Metalien 03-20-2020 05:10 PM

*pokes head in* Meanwhile, in California,
<x') there is a state-wide order now in place to stay at home, so everything everyhere is now closed, except for hospitals and medical centers and clinics, supermarkets, drug stores, restaurants for pick-up or delivery only, and only selected day care centers.

I have only video games, books, tea, old tapes and the internet to keep me sane, and it's going great! 8} My poor extroverted family on the other hand is having a bit of a tough time adjusting. >.> But I think they'll be fine since I guess I count as human contact and company. <x]
Hope everyone else is hangin' in there! o3o It's almost like bunkering down for a hurricane or storm or something with how crazy everything has gotten.

trystan830 03-20-2020 05:23 PM

i'm good - i have yarn, a bunch of forums, and a bunch of shows.

my scheduled work day this week is Tuesday, so I'll have a few emails back and forth on Monday, I'm sure. this will be interesting.

XoGizmooX 03-20-2020 05:29 PM

The adventures in EMPTY STORES I had to hit 1 store for milk a 2nd store for bread a 3rd store for bottle water and a 4th store for tp AND EVEN THE 4TH STORE HAD NO TP IN STOCK but the cashier shared her personal tp with me so I got 3 rolls for $1 from her

Merskelly Metalien 03-20-2020 05:38 PM

<.<; so glad our family buys TP in bulk months in advance and it lasts a long time, so we never have a need to hoard a bunch of TP. >-> unfortunately when we do run out eventually, we might be in short supply..

Biomecha 03-20-2020 06:35 PM

Sorry to see that happened, Glitch. It's pretty astonishing how much this is affecting everyone.

Kaderin Triste 03-20-2020 07:19 PM

Super glad I managed to get tp before the shortage struck hard here.
A lot of people today are asking if I know how long the Joann store is going to be open.
I don't. But because we are providing supplies to make masks to help the medical centers, I'm guessing we'll be open until the whole city is ordered to shut down...

I have plenty of books, dvds, yarn, and jump rings to keep me occupied in case of the worst.
