A common urban legend claims that duck quacks do not echo; however, this has been proven to be false!

Ducks walk, fly and swim so they're like, flawless

There's one duck at the duck pond by the cemetery who has a misshapen beak, I think about half an inch of the upper bill tip is missing. But, he has no trouble eating.

Francisco 06-26-2018 09:22 PM

^^^^ A good duck.

Witchchylde 06-26-2018 09:34 PM

He's actually kind of a fancy duck, the kind with a feather puffball on their heads -- I'm not sure if they're called crested or not.

Yes! That's the one! Also there's another kind that has a bright red bill. One of those has a problem with his voice though, like he tries to quack but all that comes out is like a cough.

Francisco 06-26-2018 09:43 PM

Hmmm. Maybe he had a family that quacked that way. :O
I know crows can have weird calls when their fam does, but I dunno about ducks lol.
