Lol, great minds think alike. I wasn't completely sure what I was doing so I just scoped out what everyone else had on their first page XD
In this case it's the symbol that represents myself. You can use it instead of signing things, but unlike a name it says everything about who you are. |
I'm....not sure I really get that but ok o.o *goes to google it* ..hhmmm..well i found the term sigil, is that the same thing? o.o If so then it sounds really nifty :3 |
The word has many meanings, that's why it's a pain to research. In it's simplest form it's like the wax stamp kings and queens put on letters with their crest. It's instantly recognisable and gives lots of information.
This is mine http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/p...4012011070.jpg It cost £40. But it was worth it. |
oh ok, I think I get it now...how does one choose such a thing? o.o Yours looks really interesting, I like it :3 I wonder how many US dollars that converts to...maybe I do have enough for a tattoo, but no way my mother would let me get one ._. Maybe after I get a job she would allow it... |
It just sort of comes to you. It's something good to meditate on. :)
Thanks :D It would be about $60. But it would also depend where you got it done, different places have different price guides. Plus the job would lead to you being able to move out. Or at least a little more independence. |
I shall have to meditate on that then >:3 ha! I do have enough money then >:3 I don't think it'd be too much just for an ankh... Well it's more the fact that I would have money coming in when I have a job, I'm pretty sure my mother had said tattoos were ok once I'm 18 (which I'm over that X3 ) It's just she doesn't want me spending ANY money til I'm working ._. And I need new shirts too ;-; |
Awww, money then shirts :)
You could still go and talk to an artist. That's free ^_^ And my mum never would have let me get a tattoo if I wasn't working either. I know how you feel. |
Is it really? Still not sure if my mother would let me but I suppose it's worth looking into. Of course first I have to decide where I want the darn thing... I was gonna get it on my shoulder blade, but I think I want it somewhere I can see it better... I know I want either the ankh or an eye of horus on my shoulder, with a rainbow band above and below it. But I have to decide which I want there. So I'm not sure where I'd get the other ._.' |
For your first one I'd say anywhere that isn't over a bone, unless you have an unbelievable pain threshold.
|
*blinks* Isn't pretty much everywhere over some sort of bone though? I think I decided though. I think I'll get the ankh first, on my upper arm/shoulder. Then I'll come back at a later time, get the upper and lower rainbow bands. and I'm thinking maybe get the eye of horus above my ankle... maybe... I'm gonna draw these with marker before I do anything and leave it there for a few days so I can get a feel for if I like it enough or not.... |
Well the skin over joints and your spine is much closer to the bone so they hurt more. The fleshier the place the less it hurts. (still iches just as much afterwards though lol)
Sounds good :) I had mine drawn on with marker for about two weeks before I finally had it done, just so I was sure. |
o.o oh no, Goat wasn't gonna do anywhere like that X3 Although I'm pretty positive about what I want, my mind has been set on that for years XD it's the "where" I'm concerned with XD |
Cool :) Please post up when you decide. Though I only have one little tattoo I love hearing about other people's ink. :D
I'm going to have to head off for the night. It was great talking to you, and I should be on tomorrow :) Night night ^_^ |
Alright, I'll chat with you tomorrow then ^.^ bye bye |
Good evening one and all. How are you tonight?
|
