Are there any artists who would be interested in colab-ing a webcomic?
 

just out of curiosity.

see, i'm working on a couple of scripts for webcomics but they require an art style less... "cartoony" than mine.
i had intended to practice while i finish the scripts so i could be good enough to do the art as well, but i'm working 5 and a half days a week now, and my day off gets taken up by chores so practicing isn't going so well... o.o;;

my biggest problem is that i can't afford to PAY someone. i'm only just earning enough to cover living expenses and put something away for my studies. so it'd have to be a labour of love.

obviously if the comic got to be well-known and people were donating and stuff, that'd get split.

would anyone go for a deal like that?

What's the storyline? I'm actually thinking of starting my own webcomic over the summer.

i have a couple of stories i'm working on at the moment (or plan to start over the weekend).
the one i'm focused on at the moment is a bit complicated but it's a sort of supernatural slice-of-life kinda thing.
i guess all of them are, actually... o.o;;
but this one's about a vampire and her roommate.
there's also a zombie apocalypse story; a Coraline/Mirrormask-meets-Harry Potter type story; a story featuring 3 parallel worlds (one straight, one steam-, and one cyberpunk). that last one's still REALLY rough though.
i always have tons of ideas but i get frustrated with myself because my art isn't very good and i end up giving up.

anyway, so you could basically have your pick of them, if you wanted. i can email you a sample script over the weekend if you're interested.

I'll decide later x____X Got school stuff to worry about.

Which probably means that if I do anything, it'd be during the summer/after the first week of June.

Ashy - i know. i'm having trouble getting back into it though. i'm hoping to get it started up again next month some time, once i'm less stressed about work. 'cause i'll either have been appointed permanently then, or have lost my job.

I would love to.... if I were good at doing comic-type art. ;3

I understand completely though. @o@ I draw a couple of webcomics, have a full time job, and do pixel work here. So unfortunately my webcomics end up being last priority even though I wish they weren't. ;o;

i'd like to work with you in future. i think your style would work well for another comic i'm working on, called The Clone Whores, but that one's nowhere near ready to bring an artist in on yet. :[
i'm hoping to have it ready to start drawing in about 6 months, but you'll probably be busy by then...

Taiki - aw thanks! yeah, i'm just being a lazy butt at the moment, pretty much going to work, coming home, eating, sleeping, and repeating the cycle. it'll get better soon though.

and my best friend asked me to be her bridesmaid yesterday, so the next couple of months are gonna be full of wedding stuffs too. i'm just gonna have to make a schedule and stick to it XD

I'll Pm you about the whole webcomic deal so it can be like a suprise to everyone XD
