Sad Boo be Me
I was advised to call unemployment and record our conversation. At first, I was like "Yeah, that's a great idea!" even though I'd have to let them know I was recording, but nope! I'd have to have their consent to being recorded as well. I already purchased a voice recorder, which arrived today, and now it seems I wasted money! Well, I suppose I could go with Plan B, but I do not want to reconfirm this house is haunted and inadvertently cause demonic entities and such to invade my house. My state is a two person consent, so yeah.

When they answer and ask for your name, you just say "My name is [Boris]. This conversation is being recorded." And just keep going.
|
They have to consent, otherwise, I could end up facing criminal charges.

Continuing the conversation after you say that IS consent. It applies in both directions: they can say "this call is being recorded for quality control purposes" and never ask you to say "yes" because if you disagree you just hang up.

You made a point about that.
