Aha, I see! I saw some combo May the Fourth / Mermay pics that day.

Inspiration always picks the worst time to strike....it's not "art" per say, but it hit me at work that I should have made a mermaid tail blanket for Derpy for Mermay. XD

Derpy and I could have matching mer-tails! (I think I still have some yarn left from my first one!)

Instead I started a mer-dragon last night. So far it just looks like a slightly longer than normal dragon though and idk what I did with the second skein of yarn I need for it (to make the head and possibly a couple fins). Or my good yarn needles for stitching it up so it may not be finished this month. XD

The yarn I used for my original blanket is a pretty one with pastel shades of purples, blues, and seafoam green. I probably have a pic of it somewhere...
And the mer-dragon is gonna be primarily medium to dark purple with a blue belly and seafoam and magenta accents (basically just using yarn cakes in a lovely self-striping gradient of those colors). Though I could possibly do sparkly/glitter eyes on it.
I've found that really sparkly yarns tend to be much harder on the hands. I actually had a pretty ladder "yarn" that I was working with one time that left me with cuts on my fingertips.

ahh, too bad. The pastels though are just as appealing though. ^-^ Pastel is an aesthetic. O.O and it'll be hopefully fluffy and soft and not so savage on your hands. Ouch.

Hmmmm....debating if a merdragon would have wings or not...may see if I can find some more fin-like wings for loom knitting. I think I've seen a bird wing video for wings that might work and be extra cute...

Either way, I may just barely finish the merdragon for Mermay. XD

Hmm....yeah, flipper-wings would probably work best.
