I do for some classes. Others I have a laptop for notes, and scroll through tumblr.

I usually record my lectures so I can listen to them at a later time again. This way I can just pay attention to the professor. P:

I don't really take notes the first time listening. I do that afterward.

They are these things that one scribbles down while attempting to listen to the teacher, never reads again, and that eventually find their way into the relevant binder and then a bonfire (or recycle bin) at the end of the year.
