At least they went some.

Could be. I wonder how some people turned out.

mdom 05-09-2018 05:40 PM

Don't you stalk them on facebook? xD

Biomecha 05-09-2018 06:04 PM

No... wouldn't you have to friend them? I still don't really use it.

mdom 05-09-2018 06:37 PM

some have public profiles.
Me, adding people, ha!

Biomecha 05-09-2018 07:37 PM

Ah, sounds like you are experienced.

mdom 05-10-2018 01:00 PM

*coughs*
Never. I'd never stalk people social media until I find their exes or anything.

Also the person who complained about the met gala just said dressing up as a nun is no different than using a native indian costume where can I just regret my 20 years of friendship with her

Biomecha 05-10-2018 04:28 PM

Did you ever consider she might be from a different timeline? Or have you tried unlearning your history lessons to understand her point of view?

To be honest, I don't know enough about Catholicism to have an opinion...at least in a way I could articulate it.

mdom 05-10-2018 07:08 PM

Hehe in our group she's the only one that's more 'conservative' and she kinda only worries about her issues -prejudice against asians and now christians |D

I mean, especially in Brazil, a very catholic country, it is a very false equivalency. Sure, be offended and all, I'm not saying you can't but... it's!not! the!same!thing!as! appropriation!

Biomecha 05-10-2018 07:45 PM

Yeah, it's meant to be a way to appreciate and learn art history.

I did see an Anna Wintour interview verifying they did work closely with the Vatican, at least.

mdom 05-10-2018 08:04 PM

I mean, wanna play oppression olympics, do it |D but my blocking finger is thiiiis close to working.

Biomecha 05-10-2018 08:40 PM

At least there weren't gowns made out of rosaries? They'll probably move on eventually.

I just wish there were museums that had decent fashion collections here. Although, getting to see the Samurai armor was pretty cool.

mdom 05-10-2018 08:49 PM

Yeah she likes being angry. I need to be like my sister and learn to ignore xD

I'd like to see one in person, too! My sister has a kendou armor from when she fought with a bamboo sword.

Biomecha 05-10-2018 09:02 PM

It was kind of creepy what they had here: https://i.imgur.com/1W0dgNS.jpg

And some gems: https://i.imgur.com/Dn4hazg.jpg

No wonder she is tough.

mdom 05-10-2018 09:32 PM

Hehe she wasn't very good at it, but it was a nice outlet for her anger. Plus she met her hubby there.

Biomecha 05-10-2018 09:48 PM

Or was she good enough to scare him into it? It probably takes years to become any good.

mdom 05-10-2018 09:53 PM

Hehe well, back them he didn't go to the gym, so maybe.

Yeah, I think only one of the group ended up going to championships and stuff.
