Line by Line - Write a Story Together!
I went back several (okay like 4) pages looking to see if this already existed and just hadn't been posted in for a while, but I can't find one. If it does already exist I'm so sorry.
Basically the premise is that each person writes a single line in a story. Try not to do something that would be a story killer like "And then everyone died" or "The world exploded" but do have some absurd fun. The narrative doesn't have to always make sense, but try to string your sentence in with the last few. :) Without further ado, I begin: Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a beautiful dragon that lived in a tower guarded by a ferocious princess. Now the next person adds the next sentence. If your sentence is short and doesn't add much, feel free to add two. |
The dragon parents had greyed their scales early due to the worry caused by the disappearance of their dear child.

The parents had offered many grand rewards over the years for the return of their beloved child, but alas, s far no hero had emerged.

The ferocious princess reputation preceded her - she was as fierce as a lion, as strong as ten gorillas and as cunning as a Japanese fox.

Many a fool had thought that just because she was a princess she would spend her time singing with woodland animals and kissing frogs, but she always dispatched her enemies with grace and ease.

The captive dragon never really complained or tried to escape - but that it's because our dragon had a secret...

Much to our dragon's embarrassment, every full moon they shed their beautiful scales and become something unspeakably bizarre.

She became a tiny purple Pomeranian with sparkling emeralds for eyes.

The clan of dragon werewolves was feared and admired throughout the kingdom, and they all thought the youngest daughter had died in battle against the dragon vampires.

None were as feared as the group of dragon vampires, with their Wiffle Bats o'Doom, and their thirst for the tears of beefy men.

The beefy men cried some more.
|
Their tears were salty, and didn't solve the flooding issue in the area.
|
With the rampant flood, Pennywise the clown was going to feast tonight.
|
So many lil kids were going to be eaten, and the dragon clan didn't care, because humans were dragonslayers.
|
There was however one group of humans that were safe and well looked upon by the dragon clan, the Addams family.
|
Little did they know that the ferocious princess guarding the dragon was actually Wednesday Addams.
