Feed the Beast!

What a day! All you ever wanted was to dress up for the annual Nox party with your pet goat Vincent and sneak out before anyone forces you to clean the dusty old barn. But now you stand face to face with a hideous beast and

But maybe, just maybe, if given enough delicious treats, the beast may turn out to be playful and not scary at all. Can't hurt to try. Right?

Rules
Uh-oh. A hungry beast nibbles on your ear! Quick, offer something to eat!
  • Creativity is encouraged. You'll never know, maybe you just found the beast's next favorite meal.
  • The beast is picky. At one time it may eat crunchy bacon, yet refuse crispy bacon. There is however always a logical pattern to its desires.
  • The beast is fickle. Sometimes its taste might change all of a sudden, and whatever it ate before may no longer satisfy its new cravings. The first thing it accepts shall serve as a hint. Can you figure out what the beast wants?
  • If you feed the beast, please make it sure what exactly you want to feed. Bold, italics or colored font will do just fine. Example: "Here is a slice of pizza for the beast."
  • You earn 300 Webs for each thing the beast actually eats, whether you discovered the pattern or were just lucky.
  • After each round the beast will grant a small piece of its treasure to the three people who catered best for the beast's taste.

New Taste

Oh no! A wild beast tries to bite you! Thankfully your trusted pet goat rushes forward and successfully distracts the creature by feeding it pecan pie from the local farmers market.

I offer fresh salmon sushimi to the beast.

Espy 10-30-2022 04:13 PM

-tentatively hands over a slice of peach cobbler to the beast-

Burnt Rice 10-30-2022 05:14 PM

I've got it. The best dish in the world!
-slaps down a bowl of burnt rice for the beast-

Everyone loves rice. How can you not?! I especially made this with rage. You can taste it in the crunch.

Biomecha 10-30-2022 05:34 PM

I'm hoping the beast will enjoy something I look forward to around this time of year, turkey dressing.

KittyBeary 10-30-2022 11:16 PM

Greetings, oh beast. How about I offer you some beef barley soup?

You can barely look how fast the beast eats fresh salmon sushimi.

The beast briefly sniffs the slice of peach cobbler, but turns its back to the dish.

Well, apparently the beast can't. It does not appreciate the bowl of burnt rice and leaves it untouched.

The beast doesn't seem interested in turkey dressing. But hey - more dressing for you!

The beast gracefully accepts your offer and slurps beef barley soup.

Espy 10-31-2022 03:37 AM

I... huh. Thinking about buttered bread for brekkie tomorrow, would the beast like some?

The beast shakes its head at buttered bread.

OOOH MYYY HOW I MISSED THISS

let me see... what if I tried to feed the beast some very hot miso soup

Death by Mirrors 10-31-2022 11:29 AM

You also missed the part of the rules where it says to mark your offer somehow *smirks*
Mighty beast is old and half blind, so will only notice bold, italics, colored etc. food...

You're welcome to edit your original post or make a new one, so beast will know what you've got.

mdom 10-31-2022 11:48 AM

Guess the beast isn't the only one with bad eyesight,,,,,

Unfortunately the beast does not want very hot miso soup. Hot miso soup might have been a better dish?

Illusion 10-31-2022 12:35 PM

I offer Japanese Fried Chicken served with lemon to the beast.
