Santa is a perfect example of pervasive advertisement working really well.
We can thank the Victorians for most of our modern Christmas traditions too. XD Anyway, I think green and golds as Christmas colors are pretty, but Marvel's Loki has kind of co-opted those colors. |

I am not a big fan of gold on its own, but put it with a nice dark color and it is very pretty as an accent.

red and gold is quite nice too. i actually prefer using crimson for all the red tones as it's not too bright.
