Gogandantes 09-15-2019 11:18 PM

lololol this is fun xd!

okay so anything comes to mind just post it!!!

yay for boxes!!!

Gallagher 09-15-2019 11:19 PM

about to do a d&d session

then will be working on another game for everyone to play!

Gogandantes 09-15-2019 11:24 PM

sounds cool. what do you do with the d&d?

Gallagher 09-15-2019 11:29 PM

well, we're preparing to fight a dragon at the moment

Espy 09-15-2019 11:32 PM

Don't tell my friend that; they love dragons and hate killing them.

Gogandantes 09-15-2019 11:32 PM

sounds cool. I really don't play it. how do you fight the dragon?

Gallagher 09-15-2019 11:34 PM

uhmm. our party is a blood hunter, a barbarian, a fighter, a druid, a bard that throws things, and a cleric without damage spells

so i'm gonna guess

we kill it by stabbing

Espy 09-15-2019 11:35 PM

also that is a superfluous amount of exclamation points.

What even is a blood hunter?

EDIT: Looked it up, and, wow, I wish the Camelot RP had gotten off the ground bc 1.) I miss Yvon and 2.) he'd def be a blood hunter.

Gogandantes 09-15-2019 11:37 PM

yay for the event! people are posting!

it's an interesting class. things are generally a lot more interesting than from source with all of our homebrew, though. we've powered up the edition, more or less.

Espy 09-15-2019 11:44 PM

...is suze the blood hunter

Gallagher 09-15-2019 11:47 PM

he is both the blood hunter and the barbarian

quiet is the druid and the bard

i am the fighter and the cleric

Espy 09-15-2019 11:48 PM

...and absolutely no one is surprised.

DreadedMartian 09-15-2019 11:48 PM

Everyone talking about d&d = too much epic to handle

Gogandantes 09-15-2019 11:49 PM

I might goto bed soon. very tired. glad you guys like the thread.

Espy 09-15-2019 11:49 PM

Wh-- What, and me talking about D&D is somehow less epic?

Gallagher 09-15-2019 11:51 PM

currently cleric is tending to the party before we go face the dragon, because he is big softie gabe and has to make sure everyone is as good as they can possibly be before we risk our lives

DreadedMartian 09-15-2019 11:51 PM

Good point lol I changed it

Espy 09-15-2019 11:52 PM

Perhaps we should start a thread for various D&D shenanigans. ...Do we have one already?

Gallagher 09-15-2019 11:52 PM

i think there's been a couple here and there, but none that i chat in

Gogandantes 09-15-2019 11:54 PM

nighty have fun!

DreadedMartian 09-16-2019 12:03 AM

Goodnight Goga!
And I would like that. I'm just getting into it and it would be nice to talk to you guys about all my newbie fails lmao

Gallagher 09-16-2019 12:05 AM

i scream about our sessions to anyone that's around after they happen, honestly, haha

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:14 AM

i played DnD once in high school and once in college, which was mumble mumble years ago.

Trystan was my fighter XD

Gallagher 09-16-2019 12:15 AM

haha, that sounds right.

the 5e fighter is rather fun, i'm a big fan

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:16 AM

tell you what - when i played DnD was when the Cthulhu Mythos was in the Deities and Demigods book....

Gallagher 09-16-2019 12:17 AM

the warlock still has some of that flavor, i think. or at least, one of our games has one whose patron is a great old one.

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:19 AM

oooh awesome.

i didn't pick an alignment for my character, but i don't know if that's why i stopped playing, or the group just fell apart. i mean, she's probably good, but probably neutral... i'd need to look up the defintions again...

Gallagher 09-16-2019 12:20 AM

the alignments really don't matter for more than roleplay in 5e, nothing is actually affected by alignment aside from the occasional weird weapon.

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:21 AM

it was the early 90s... XD

Gallagher 09-16-2019 12:23 AM

yeah, i feel you. i don't really know about other editions, but i've played 5e, and i've played 3.5, so i've played with and without that stuff mattering, haha

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:24 AM

tbh, i have no idea which edition it even was.

Gallagher 09-16-2019 12:25 AM

i have noooo idea which one was relevant then, i was not exposed to the game until i was an older teenager

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:26 AM

yeah, my first game was in the ...80s. 1986 or 87. so something early. XD

Gallagher 09-16-2019 12:27 AM

huh, that's really cool. i've always been interested in what the classic stuff was like, y'know, cuz i came in when there was already like. so. much.

so much stuff.

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:30 AM

here's what i do remember: out DM set the campaign in a creepy cave-like place that was supposed to be like where the aliens kept the human food in Aliens. (which came out in 86.... i didn't see Aliens until a few year later)

Gallagher 09-16-2019 12:35 AM

this sounds silly, lol

trystan830 09-16-2019 12:36 AM

pretty sure my DM didn't think so...
