Suck to be Ryuoko right about now, but I guess it's been that way for a while.

I found I like how Maikan's story developed from his arrogant classist self and how he rouned out more in the later stuff.

I have to agree with that one. I was quirking my eyebrow a bit when I supposedly went down after one mortal bullet.

Poor Fenrir, but she didn't seem all that happy with her job anyway. I don't it was as nasty as it could have been. I felt more for Axel really.

Well, he can be hurt, and just like any human, really. But he won't /die/ from any physical wound unless he's separated from his shadows.

Hee hee. I liked the kiss moment, though I don't think it actually needed to be stated that he wanted a kiss. From their relationship so far, I think it was pretty much implied ;).

And personally, Ryuko's story is the one that gets to me. Getting to that ending kind of depressed me.

Yeah, him losing Fenrir and then going berserk. Don't know much about the taskal war bit but from the masquerade part it's obvious Fen wasn't happy in her position so in a way her death isn't as nasty as it could have been. Axel has to "live" with her death and also whatever emotions he's going to have left over after he clues back in from his rage. I don't imagine he'll be happy with what happened from what I've seen of his character.

Well not much is shown after he gives in to his blood lust other than a small conversation between him and Azeil. But that being said, he does come to his senses very quickly, considering he acts civilly toward Azeil. I'm sure you'll be seeing him again... xD

I would hope so. I like him. :). So far anyway :D.

So... favorite parts? Not-so-favorite parts? Any surprises at the direction of the plot? Things you wish had happened differently?

I know I, for one, am interested in what you guys thought, and I'm sure the rest of the team is, too.

What happened to Zeo? I don't remember seeing him in the last few story bits. I do feel happy for Maikan and Veiyk, though!

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Asura, Kyun, and Oinari in the future. I kept thinking, "Aww, that's adorable!" while I was reading their bit.

Overall, I found myself caring a bit more for the NPCs as the story advanced. They're becoming more than just simple archetypes of characters like they seemed towards the event's beginning. Having them make appearances in the forums outside just the storyline seemed to help them seem more real to us than having them be just intangible characters in a story.

Overall I am literally swimming in plotty goodness until my fingers get all pruney. I really enjoyed getting sucked into the story and the way things were described really made me see it in my mind.

It really makes me look forward to the next time we will have a opportunity to see more of the characters, I felt like I had read a really good short story. . . . .I hope it continues.

My favourite sequence was probably Maikan's rampage. I like the story behind it and the thrown daggers to the heads of the bowman was a nice touch. :)

I did like some of the sequences between Axel and Asche, in particiular when they were sneaking in the tent in the Loyalist camp. I liked how the post focuses largely on Asche and then Axel pops out of nowhere just to remind one who the demigod is around here ;).

I did think the battle started rather abruptly though. Axel and Asche were in the tent, they know they were spotted, yet Ryuko doesn't seem all that concerned about that. He doesn't seem to have bothered much with the information at all since the battle plan apparently didn't change. In that mind, what was the point of sneaking in in the first place?

While I liked the concept of Azeil's moment with Asura just before he "died" I did think it could have been done better. It felt a little obvious to me.

Did I miss something, or did Asche poof somewhere in the middle of the battle?

Not sure what Asche was up to, but then real Zeo poofed too.

Axel? I demigod? I never thought of it like that, but I suppose immortality makes it so?

Well he's a *something*, and not really being a god as far as I know, and apparently being more than just a vampire, it seemed to work.

Speaking of Asche, I lost my drawing somewhere...

It feels weird to let the story end here. There are too many loose ends, and a infinite amount of beginnings... and I still need my F-ing BREAN SET!!!!

But if there are no loose ends than nothing can come back to harass people later. ;)
