It wasn't because of the event, its because yearlies were released on the 3rd of that month I think. And people of course spent all their runes on yearlies.

:/ I didn't buy extra's, I didn't think the items were going to be so rare. I spent my aurum and runes on yearlies so I could of been finished with them because I figured people wouldn't bother buying them later on. (Which I was half right about.)
If I knew there were going to be this rare I would of bought like 10 sets of that months RDI's

the nomad looked bad with a lot of stuff so i could see why there are not so many though i didn't even know about that and i was here for the /first/ monthlies
