The aurum one looks soooooo cute!!!!!!!!

Suzerain of Sheol 06-01-2011 08:32 PM

That list is so modest, Lunaryon. :p I'd donate, but don't have any of those lying around unfortunately.

Oh, and if you like writing so much, how come you never post in the writing forum? *cough* like in my Group Story thread that needs people *cough* :p

Lunaryon 06-01-2011 11:13 PM

Well... I'm just finaly getting over a major writer's block. I absolutely hate them, sitting at my computer staring at the keyboard, just trying to will the words to appear in my head... But It's starting to get better, so I should start moving over there soon.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-02-2011 01:06 AM

I can relate to that. So. Much.

Writing is a bit agonizing for me, honestly. I enjoy having written (to quote George R. R. Martin), but the actual process of getting the words out of my head is horrible for me. I can't write more than 500 words or so at a time before I get burned out.

Checking Trisphee every five minutes doesn't help, either. :p

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 01:10 AM

I used to be able to write up of two thousand words in a single sitting, but now I'm hitting a stumbling block at about 500. If I keep writing, then I should get over this and get back to where I was.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-02-2011 01:12 AM

Heh. I'm prety good at multi-tasking when thinking about writing, though If I'm too busy I often lose whatever moment of inspiration I've had. That's one of the reasons a couple segments in and older piece of writing aren't done yet.

I believe all writers at some point become intimately acquainted with the details of a blank word processing screen, or the precise demensions of lines in their notebook.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-02-2011 01:12 AM

My problem is over-analyzing everything I write, as I write it. It gets to the point where I'll get hung up on a single word and not be able to continue until I get *exactly* the word I want in there, and I write linearly, so this completely stonewalls me on projects. I have more manuscripts broken off in mid-sentence than I'd care to admit.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-02-2011 01:20 AM

I write in pieces for that reason. I'll insist to myself that there must be a particular word or sentence in one spot that and will hop over it if I can't think of anything and continue on to other paragraphs. I have a few 85% finished pieces where I'm still trying to find those particular inserts.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-02-2011 01:23 AM

Another really serious issue I have is distraction. I truly believe having internet access is horrible for my writing process. It's just such an easy alternative to the pressure of trying to articulate my thoughts into something that sounds good.

Whenever I sit down to seriously write, I have forcibly stop myself from going online in effort to keep focused. Moving to a different room helps, too, since it's really easy for me to zone out in my bedroom for some reason. And it's hot and uncomfortable up here, which isn't good for thinking clearly.

Quiet Man Cometh 06-02-2011 01:26 AM

Usually if I'm interested in cruising around on the net, I'm not all that interested in writing.

Anyway, can't help you with your quest Luna, but good luck.. :)

Suzerain of Sheol 06-02-2011 01:38 AM

Out of curiosity, Luna, what sort of stuff do you write?

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 08:39 AM

A little of everything, I just write and what comes out is what comes out. I do tend to write sci-fi and fantasy more then anything else...

Alexis Rider 06-02-2011 08:58 AM

I have a Kitsune available

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 09:01 AM

What kind of price are you willing to settle on, or is it free?

Serra Britt 06-02-2011 09:05 AM

First of all good luck on your quest Luna :3

I used to write a lot and I felt I was pretty good but I haven't done anything like that in a while because of motivation issues. Suzerain, I want to try writing in your group story sometime though :3

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 09:07 AM

It's fun, and kind of interesting... You don't actually write all that much and the story sort of evolves out of everyone's hands into something new and unique.

Alexis Rider 06-02-2011 09:10 AM

I rather not just give it away but I,m not asking to much for it.

How much were you willing to pay?

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 09:12 AM

I have roughly 5K free, but I can put off the other trade I have lined up and spend up to 9.5K

Alexis Rider 06-02-2011 09:16 AM

how bout we go half way kay? like i said I dont want to take up all you money. we can go for 4k

that would be ok with me.

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 09:18 AM

Alright. Cool. I'll send a trade request.

Lauv Keiko 06-02-2011 09:38 AM

I have an extra silvary's jacket~
I'm sending in a trade ^^

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 10:30 AM

Thank you Lauv for the jacket. I love it so hard.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-02-2011 11:19 AM

You're looking fairly awesome, Lunaryon. :)

Also, about writing, you're more the inspirational type? I can never just sit down and write, myself. I have to outline and establish characters in my head, and plan out scenes in advance.

Or, maybe I do that because it's easier than actually writing...

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 11:23 AM

I've tried planning, and it somewhat works for me, if I do I get bogged down in details...But when I just sit down and start writing the words flow easier, but I have almost no control over the story. I'm simply telling the story, not writing it.

Suzerain of Sheol 06-02-2011 11:29 AM

What size stories do you write? I tend toward large, novel-sized projects (that I never finish) which probably contributes to my tendency for planning.

I do have one story where I was pretty much making it up as I went along, but I've had to go back and edit the entire thing several times thanks to things coming up that didn't mesh with what I'd already written.

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 11:33 AM

I have been working on a, hopefully, novel length story, but about thirty pages in my writer's block attacked, and I'm not even sure where the manuscript went...

Suzerain of Sheol 06-02-2011 11:37 AM

Do you write by hand? Or did you lose track of the file on your computer?

Also, I'm not sure if my problem is really writer's block, seeing as, at least for my main novel, I have an iron-clad hyper-detailed outline telling me exactly what I need to write. I just... don't feel capable of doing it justice, most of the time.

Lunaryon 06-02-2011 01:49 PM

A little bit of both, when I have a computer with me I type, but I always have spirals on hand in case I'm away from the computer. Somehow, my manuscript ended up in three or four different spirals... So I can't find any of it.

Airina 06-02-2011 02:09 PM

Awww that really really sucks Luna!! I do that too..... it really really sucks.
